Hi, I'm Mario
Welcome to my corner of the internet! I use it to share random stuff I'm making.
Things I enjoy: programming, journaling, reading, green tea, yoga, playing piano, calisthenics, playing tennis, traveling, listening to music, and tinkering on this website.
Right now I'm working as a software engineer at Pickware.
Currently working on
- Matcha is an experimental compiled programming language with a GC-managed runtime. The project is still early in development, but it already includes a compiler, runtime, and CLI capable of producing native binaries from Matcha source code.
- Ideal Week is a small SPA for designing your week around what actually matters to you. It's not another calendar, not another task tracker. Just a place to define boundaries for the regular activities you care about. You can export your ideal week as a read-only feed to your calendar app and use it to guide where to place real events.
Currently paused
- Tamamon is the monster-taming game of my dreams. I spent the last four years growing it from a simple Pokémon clone into its own little thing. I had a lot of fun designing and implementing all the game mechanics, drawing all the pixel art, and bringing this small world to life. Sadly, between the scope creeping and me getting too attached to it, I have yet to release a demo. Right now I'm taking a bit of a pause from Tamamon to gain some emotional distance, but I plan to come back to it in the near future.
Processing sketches
Small interactive pieces. Each one fills the window and takes a few parameters you can play with.
